Naza launches the refreshed Kia Rio

Light refreshments for the Kia Rio 5-door comes to Malaysia. By Jerrica Leong

We’ve seen the Rio enjoy a successful run since the MK3 was launched in 2013, now Naza Kia Malaysia is proud to present a face-lifted Rio five-door. But first, let’s talk about the features that remained unchanged: the Kia Gamma 1.4 MPI DOHC Dual CVVT Engine that produces 108bhp and 137Nm of torque, the four-speed automatic transmission with a shift gate for manual-style gear shifting and the array of safety features as well.

And now for the changes, we’ve listed it down for you:

There is only one variant of the Rio compared to the outgoing model.
On the front, the front grille insert is now broader for a larger air intake while two matte silver bars are added to the fog light housing to give off a muscular look. The rear features a restyled reflector to enhance the muscular look.
The Rio now comes with a set of newly-designed 17-inch alloy wheels.
LED lamps around the Rio are now improved for optimal visibility.
Not much changes to the interior but a few upgrades like the high glossy black finish on the centre façade and gear console.

The new Kia Rio comes to you in four colours namely Deep Blue, Signal Red, Clear White and Bright Silver with an asking price of RM79,080 on-the-road with insurance. Owners will also receive a five-year unlimited mileage warranty with their cars.
