Minister of Rural and Regional Development Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob will submit the list of candidates to be appointed as the new chairman of Majlis Amanah Rakyat (MARA) to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak soon.
He said the ministry had identified several candidates who are qualified to replace Tan Sri Annuar Musa who did not wish to be reappointed to the post.
"I will submit two or three names and then, it is up to the prime minister to decide (who will be the next MARA chairman)," he told reporters after opening Pasir Puteh UMNO Division Delegates Conference here on Friday.
Annuar, whose contract ends today, had recently announced that he did not wish to continue holding the post as he wanted to concentrate on UMNO in view of the upcoming 14th general election.
