New York Fashion Week Rundown FW15

Altuzarra
Lavish fox collar, boasting ruffled trim on the hip pockets and that signature Altuzarra slit. It won't be hard to find an effortlessly tailored coat or jacket from Altuzarra come fall as it's no surprise to hear that outerwear is one of his best-selling categories. We felt that the velvet dévoré dresses really enticed us.

Christian Siriano
Inspired by a dream trip to the Congo, we see an obvious influence from the animals and the plants from the jungle. The pieces decorated with black and white ostrich feathers were a huge triumph: They glided down the runway as stunningly as they will the red carpet. Siriano went with traditional ball gown silhouettes but did them up in floral taffetas and ombré chevron.

Victoria Beckham
All of her pieces made a strong statement, exactly what you want out of an investment piece. But where the dresses and separates were about highlighting the body, the coats were more about armouring it. She shifted to dresses and more sophisticated lines, bringing sexy back into her collection.

Alexander Wang
It was an all-black collection. Gaining inspiration from Goths, Japanese Lolitas and possibly heavy-metal hair bands. He gave Marilyn Manson and Kiss shout-outs, and you could see them both in the models' slicked, wet, spiky 'dos and in their chunky Frankenstein boots. Delivering attitude for days. Kendall Jenner's formfitting top and long, fluid skirt trimmed with chain fringe at the hem counted as the most romantic evening look of Wang's career.

Hervé Léger
Sequins, grommets, and laces re-created intricate patterns seen around churches across brightly coloured dresses. Jacquard dresses seemed more refined peeking out under matching oversize bombers or shearling matador jackets and the long shearling in deep jewel blue had class.

Coach
Brooklyn meets the Great Plains as that city-country concept extended to the clothes. The key piece was a black leather biker spliced with an un-dyed shearling sheepherder coat, equal parts cool and tough. The coats stomped out on shearling-lined lace-up moto boots. Coach is giving us girl going through a rebellious streak and we love it! Bring on the silk bandannas and skull sweaters.

Mara Hoffman
Hoffman is a flower child at heart, so don't expect galactic metallics or ultramodern space suits. Instead, she played with textures like quilted cotton, dense embroidery, and gold beading to add just a hint of sci-fi by way of the late '70s fashion.

Tibi
Minimalist knits in calm colours and forgiving proportions, tufted patches on cream shearling coats and jackets, as well as mohair sweaters very tastefully executed. Fuss-free lovers will adore this collection.

Monique Lhuillier
Lhuillier mentioned that she was thinking about the '20s when she started designing the collection, but the most interesting looks had a hint of '70s glam rock and tasteful sex appeal. When Lhuillier publicized her muse for the season - Kate Moss, it all made perfect sense.

Prabal Gurung
Beautiful knits and furs from Prabal Gurung this season. The coat with geometric prints and black and white fur detailing looked so comfortable yet stunning, worn over a black turtleneck top. The bright orange fisherman's coat and oversized wool turtleneck look - très chic, especially paired with the flowy silk skirt.
