The health of PAS spiritual leader Datuk Nik Abdul Aziz Nik Mat who is being treated at the intensive care
unit of Universiti Sains Malaysia Hospital (HUSM) in Kubang Kerian here was reported to be improving today and is expected to return home soon.
His son, Nik Mohamad Abduh said his father was now able to sit on a wheelchair.
"This morning, doctors and hospital staff visited the house to look into preparations and needs for my father's return," Nik Mohamad Abduh said in a his latest Facebook posting today.
The former menteri besar of Kelantan aged 84 years was admitted to the hospital on Jan 19 as his health deteriorated during the floods in the state recently, apart from having prostate cancer.
Nik Abdul Aziz, who is also the Chempaka assemblyman, was the fifth menteri besar of Kelantan (1990-2013).
