No Malaysians involved so far in Istanbul Airport attack - Wisma Putra
The Embassy of Malaysia in Ankara will continue to monitor the situation at the Istanbul airport.
There were no Malaysians reportedly involved in the bomb attack that took place in the Ataturk Airport, Istanbul, earlier today, which killed an estimated 36 people and left 147 others injured, said Wisma Putra.
In a statement Wednesday, the Malaysian Foreign Ministry recorded the government's condemnation in the strongest terms, against the attack.
The government also extended its condolences to the government and people of the Republic of Turkey, and to the families and victims affected.
"Malaysia regards this latest terrorist act as inhumane and hopes the perpetrators will be brought to justice.
"So far there have been no Malaysians involved in the incident," the Foreign Ministry said in the statement.
Wisma Putra added that the Embassy of Malaysia in Ankara will continue to monitor the situation in the republic.
"The Ministry wishes to remind Malaysian citizens residing and travelling to Turkey to always give utmost priority to their personal safety and the security of their surroundings, and to closely monitor and comply with any advisory issued by the Government of the Republic of Turkey," it said.
