#Nothing2Hide: Tun M expected to attend PM's dialogue with NGOs
Mahathir and Najib has been exchanging arguments via blog and official website or giving comments about each other in separate locations.
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak's Dialog PM Bersama NGO programme on Friday might see his harshest critic Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad attending.
In a short text message to Astro AWANI, Mahathir’s aid and spokesperson Sufi Yusof said: “It’s an open invitation, Insya-Allah Tun will attend the program”.
The programme, scheduled on Friday at 9am will be held at Dewan Tun Hussein Onn, Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC).
The programme, organised by the Bar Association of Volunteers (SukaGuam) is to allow Najib to clarify perceptions and provide answers to various allegations hurled at him and his administration.
The meeting between the two leaders, if it happens, is expected to grab attention as both have been exchanging arguments on blogs, press statements. They have also been commenting about each other at different functions.
Apart from using hashtag #Nothing2Hide for its promotion on social media, the organiser of the program has also come out with a video that highlights the major talking points that is stirring controversy surrounding Najib and his leadership.
About 1,000 activists and NGOs are expected to attend the dialogue.
“NGOs should be given the chance to quiz Najib as they had legitimate questions, so that politicians did not dominate discussions on national issues,” said SukaGuam chairman, Datuk Khairul Anwar Rahmat in a press conference last Monday.
