[11 July 2024] - Police confirmed receiving a missing person report on Nur Farah Kartini at 1.56 am after the woman delivered a rental car to a customer in Taman Universiti, Tanjung Malim.
- Nur Farah Kartini was last seen delivering a rental car to a woman, believed to be the customer, at about 8 am the previous day (July 10).
- She reportedly got into a red car. However, the car type and its registration plate number could not be ascertained as it was raining then.
- She was last seen wearing a blue corporate blouse, black trousers and hijab.
- Her last communication was with staff at the digital marketing division of the printing shop in Perak at 8.14 am (July 10).
[12 July 2024] - An employee at the printing shop started posting on social media pleading for Nur Farah Kartini to return home.
- It was clarified that Nur Farah Kartini was not a permanent staff at a car rental company, but paid commission if she brought customers.
- Her brother, who lives in Selangor, went to Tanjung Malim on the night of the incident to gather information and updates regarding his sister's disappearance.
[15 July 2024] - Police recorded statements from seven individuals to assist in the investigation into her disappearance.
- Police confirmed finding a woman's body, believed to be Nur Farah Kartini, in an oil palm plantation in Kampung Sri Kledang, Hulu Selangor at about 6 pm. The victim was believed to have been murdered by a person known to her.
- Selangor police chief Datuk Hussein Omar Khan confirmed that the body was that of the victim reported missing in Tanjung Malim.
- Police confirmed arresting a 26-year-old man, who is a civil servant, in connection with the case and the investigation was conducted under Section 302 of the Penal Code.
[16 July 2024] - Sessions Court Judge Nurul Mardhiah Mohammed Redza issued a seven-day remand order for the 26-year-old civil servant to assist in the investigation under Section 302 of the Penal Code.
- Selangor police chief Datuk Hussein Omar Khan said the suspect, who is a police lance corporal, is believed to be the victim's boyfriend.
- The suspect was brought to the location where Nur Farah Kartini's body was found in the oil palm plantation in Kampung Sri Keledang, Hulu Selangor.
[17 July 2024] - Three four-wheel drive vehicles (4WD) of the Forensic Unit of the Selangor Police Contingent Headquarters (IPK) arrived at the scene of the murder to conduct further investigation
- A Toyota Hilux 4WD was seen entering the plantation at 9.50 am with a team from the Kuala Kubu Bharu Fire and Rescue Station.
- At 12.21 pm, a smartphone, believed to belong to Nur Farah Kartini, was found in a drain in the plantation.
- Selangor police chief Datuk Hussein Omar Khan confirmed police had recorded statements of 26 individuals to assist in the investigation.
- Police confirmed that the oil palm plantation in Kampung Sri Kledang was the main location of the murder.
- Nur Farah Kartini's brother, Mohd Farriza Amir Abdullah informed that her sister's remains could only be claimed after the police obtained a DNA) sample of their mother.
- Police confirmed finding a bag, believed to belong to Nur Farah Kartini in Sungai Trolak in Kampung Batu 4, Slim River, Perak.
[18 July 2024] - Police confirmed Nur Farah Kartini's body.
- The body was claimed by Nur Farah Kartini's family and was taken to As-Syakirin Mosque in Kampung Tanjung Selangor for the funeral prayer and then to Kampung Nyiur Manis Cemetery in Pekan, Pahang, for burial.
[19 July 2024] - Sultan Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah presented donations to Nur Farah Kartini's family.

[20 July 2024] - Hulu Selangor deputy district police chief DSP Mohd Asri Mohd Yunus confirmed the search for evidence was continued at a tapioca farm in Kampung Klan Halt, Slim River, Perak.
[21 July 2024] - Police completed recording statements from several workers at the tapioca farm.
[22 July 2024] - The remand order against the suspect was extended for seven days until July 29.

[25 July 2024] - Selangor police chief Datuk Hussein Omar Khan confirmed the suspect will be charged under Section 302 of the Penal Code for Nur Farah Kartini's murder at the Kuala Kubu Bharu Magistrate Court on July 26.
[26 July 2024] - The suspect, Lance Corporal Muhammad Alif Monjani, was charged in the Kuala Kubu Bharu Magistrate's Court with murdering Nur Farah Kartini.
