Opposition leader Dr Wan Azizah to table new motion of no-confidence against Najib
Dr Wan Azizah said the motion will be filed under Section 26 of the Standing Order.
Pakatan Harapan decided today that Opposition leader Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail will be responsible to table a new motion of no confidence against Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak at the Dewan Rakyat.
Dr Wan Azizah said the motion will be filed under Section 26 of the Standing Order.
She said the motion will also be supported by PAS members of Parliament.
“Once the motion is filed, we have to wait for two weeks before we know if the motion has been accepted or not,” she said at a press conference at Parliament today.
The Permatang Pauh MP also said the previous motion of no confidence against Najib which was filed by Petaling Jaya Selatan MP Hee Loy Sian would be ‎retracted.
Before this, DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng was reported to have said that Dr Wan Azizah in her capacity as the Opposition leader, should have been given the responsibility to table the motion of no confidence instead of Hee.
