Ops Daulat: Explosions heard, area under control

Ops Daulat entered its fifth day. The situation at Felda Sahabat appeared to be under control but several series of explosions could be heard from ground zero after 24 hours of no attacks.

Apart from the sounds of explosion which could be heard at 1am this morning, sounds of airplanes and helicopters were heard above Felda Residence, Felda Sahabat 16, near here today.

Police had previously confirmed that 52 Sulu militants have been killed.

Putra 1Malaysia Club president Datuk Azeez Abdul Rahim is expected to arrive at Felda Sahabat today to provide humanitarian aid to the 1800 residents that have been moved from the red zone to three main locations.

The locations are Dewan Cenderawasih, Dewan Embara Budi and Dewan Fajar Harapan.
