Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak arrived here today to begin a one-day visit to the east coast states.
His first stop is in Terengganu, before going to Kelantan.
In Terengganu, the prime minister, who is also UMNO president, will open the Kuala Nerus UMNO delegates meeting and then attend a "Jamuan Rakyat" programme.
Najib, who arrived in a special aircraft at the Sultan Mahmud Airport here, was greeted on arrival by Terengganu Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Ahmad Razif Abdul Rahman, the state executive council members and local community leaders.
From the airport, Najib and Ahmad Razif were taken on a trishaw to the Sports Complex Indoor Stadium, Gong Badak here, where the prime minister would open the Kuala Nerus UMNO delegates meeting.
After the meeting, Najib will attend the "Jamuan Rakyat" programme held at the compound of the stadium, before going to Kelantan for the 'Leader With the People' programme in Lubuk Jong, Rantau Panjang.
