Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak today called on the younger generation to continue cooperating and showing support to the current government to ensure the nation's success.
The Prime Minister said the peace, harmony and success of the nation must be strengthened and weaknesses, if any, should be corrected.
Najib said as the captain of the ship, he hoped the younger generation would continue to support the struggle and shape the future of the country.
He was speaking after breaking fast with about 2,000 representatives of public and private tertiary institutions, universities and youth non-governmental organisations at Seri Perdana here last night.
"Do not destroy what has been built by the founders of this nation. Once destroyed, it is difficult to be rebuilt. We see Brexit, a developed nation like United Kingdom, the bad effects of it.
"Malaysia is peaceful, harmonious and can move forward to achieve bigger success. This success is not for anyone else but the younger generation of today to enjoy.
"Our aim is to do the best possible for Malaysia and our students," he said. Also present were the Prime Minister's wife Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor and Minister of Higher Education Datuk Seri Idris Jusoh.
