AMONG the headlines for Wednesday, August 17, 2022, the Kuala Lumpur Sessions Court today charged a 17-year-old teenager with smuggling 25 Myanmar migrants in a Toyota Vellfire vehicle.
Investigations found that all the illegal immigrants were brought from Rantau Panjang, Kelantan to Kuala Lumpur, for a payment of RM6,000 per person.
Also, Spain and Portugal are bracing for wildfires in the coming days with temperatures forecast to exceed 40°C on the Iberian peninsula.
Portugal’s prime minister warned today that the hot weather increases the threat of blazes.
