Police on manhunt for burger seller

Melaka police are on the manhunt for a burger seller who allegedly raped his 13-year-old girlfriend and turned her into a prostitute.

State CID deputy chief (Operations and Intelligence) Supt P.R. Gunarajan said Mohd Khairul Azli Isohod, 26, whose last address was 2961-1 Jalan Sidang Hassan, Bukit Katil here was also believed to be a drug addict and hiding in Kuala Lumpur.

"Initial investigations found that Mohd Khairul solicited RM100 from the men, giving RM20 to the victim to spend and used the rest of the money to feed his drug habits. He last (month) offered her to a 37-year-old man," he told reporters here today.

According to Gunarajan, the suspect was detained in Ampang, Kuala Lumpur on April 5 last year and failed to appear in court for his trial last June 24.
