The Magistrate's Court here today issued a seven-day remand order against the 12 suspects, including two women, who were detained for investigations into an incident of random shooting at a restaurant in Jalan Sri Cemerlang here yesterday.
Kota Baharu Magistrate's Courts registrar Roszita Md Saad ordered the suspects, aged between 20 and 27, to be remanded for investigation under Section 3 of the Firearms (Increased Penalties) Act 1971.
The suspects were detained a few hours after two gunshots were fired near the restaurant in Jalan Sri Cemerlang here following a fight among two groups over a woman.
