Prime Minister shocked by gun attack in Istanbul, offers condolences to families of victims

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak today expressed shock over the recent gun attack in Istanbul, Turkey which saw at least 39 people killed.
Najib in his latest Twitter account said Malaysia offers its condolences to Turkey and those who were affected by the attack.
"I'm appalled by the attack in Istanbul. Condolences from Malaysia to Turkey and those affected. It is all the more tragic that so many lives were lost as they came together to celebrate the New Year," he said.
Najib also reiterated his stance that the world must stand united against such acts of terrorism.
According to international reports, a nightclub in Turkey was attacked by a gunman while people inside were celebrating the new year.
Besides the 39 on the death toll, at least 69 were left wounded and four of them were reported to be in critical condition.
