Puskas Award: Varsity students, staff urged to vote for Faiz Subri

Students and staff of universities are urged to vote for Penang footballer Mohd Faiz Subri who is in the running for FIFA's Puskas award this year,
Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) deputy vice chancellor (Student Affairs and Alumni) Assoc Prof Dr Abdul Malek Abdul Karim in a statement said the YouTube sensation had recorded 1.22 since the clip of his wonder goal was uploaded by FIFA.
He scored the goal from 35 metres out when playing for Penang against Pahang at the City Stadium in George Town in a Super League match in February.
Abdul Malek said Mohd Faiz was leading nine other players from Brazil, Argentina, Spain, South Africa, Finland, Venezuela and Wales and was confident that Mohd Faiz would win the prestigious award for the goal of the year.
Mohd Faiz had visited UUM's campus on Tuesday to thank its staff and students for voting for him.
