Kuala Terengganu MP Datuk Raja Kamarul Shah Raja Ahmad demanded Terengganu PAS commissioner to present the official record of activities by PAS members of Parliament, conducted in the state.

He seeks for five matters to be clarified because all voters, including PAS members have the right to know the actual performance of their elected representatives in Parliament.

Raja Kamarul seeks clarification on the daily presence of MPs, including the total number of hours during each session since the 13th General Election (GE13) from the Parliament’s official attendance records.

In a statement, he also asked the frequency of issues raised by Terengganu MPs in the Dewan Rakyat and their performances during press conferences.

He demanded for answers about the involvement of Terengganu MPs in other activities with remuneration during the parliamentary session from 10am until the end of the evening, since they are already given salary when on duty in Parliament.

He also demanded the attendance record of Terengganu MPs at the weekly management meeting with PAS MPs at the 14th floor of the party’s headquarters conducted by PAS Parliamentary whip Datuk Mahfuz Omar.

"I urge Terengganu PAS Commissioner to investigate the matter as all MPs, which meet only three times a year, since they are paid salaries and allowances to serve the people," he said in the statement.

He said, after the commissioner presents the information, public and voters can make an assessment who actually should resign as MP.

"I also ask the commissioner to explain why no MPs from religious backgrounds participate in making a speech on June 18, 2015 during the last day of the Parliament session.

"At that time, Mahfuz cause failure of the government and the Parliament again by tabling the Kelantan Syariah Enactment (Amendment to Act 355) in Parliament," he said.

Raja Kamarul sought clarification to be made within 14 days.
