Kota Belud MP Datul Abdul Rahman Dahlan tweet, calling for practical solutions in handling the immigrants issue in Sabah following the Royal Commission of Inquiry (RCI) report on the issue drew mixed responses over the social media.
While some agreed that the country needs to move forward and stop finger pointing, others called for the report to be tabled at the Parliament.
. @mpkotabelud which is exactly why the #RCISabah report should be tabled in the Parliament for debate / discussion. Is it going to happen?

Razali Ahmed suggested for Malaysia to emulate certain policies in the west, like the European Union (EU) citizenship:
@mpkotabelud YB, many pulling factors indicating our wealth. Perhaps, we can emulate some strategic policies esp the UK towards EU citizens

However, Thanasegaran said the RCI failed in its bid to identify the problem.
@mpkotabelud A basic in Mgmt. If you cannot identify the real problem, you cannot come up with effective solutions.RCI failed in that!

“Finger pointing is pointless because it is difficult to prove. We have been doing that for the last three decades. Did the problem go away," Abdul Rahman had tweeted.
“I hear a lot of people voicing their anger but none has sound and practical solution,” said Abdul Rahman, who is also the Urban Wellbeing, Housing and Local Government Minister.
The RCI was set up on Aug 11, 2012 and chaired by former Chief Judge of Sabah and Sarawak Tan Sri Steve Shim.
The proceedings began in January 2013 with Manoj Kurup, Datuk Azmi Ariffin and Jamil Aripin of the Attorney-General's Chambers appointed as conducting officers to assist the commission in questioning the witnesses.
The RCI recorded statements from 361 people and collected 177 exhibits during the proceedings.
The report, priced at RM10, will be available to the public at Sabah Federal Administration building in Jalan UMS, Kota Kinabalu, Sabah and the One Stop Centre at Home Ministry in Putrajaya..
