Rise in traffic volume expected on North-South expressway
The volume of traffic heading to the federal capital from the north and south of the country is expected to rise in the afternoon as people begin their return here after the Aidilfitri holidays. A spokesman for Plusline told Bernama the volume of traffic was expected to increase at all stretches of the North-South Expressway but it was not anticipated to cause major congestion. "As at 9.45 am today, the volume of traffic from either direction was under control despite accidents at several points," he said. Meanwhile, a spokesman of the Malaysian Highway Authority (LLM) said traffic flow was smooth in the Klang Valley as at 9.30 am, including along the Damansara-Puchong Expressway and New Pantai Expressway. The public can obtain the latest traffic situation via the toll-free Plusline at 1800-88-0000 and Twitter at www.twitter.com/plustrafik or the LLM line at 1800-88-7752 and Twitter at www.twitter.com/llminfotrafik.
