Sabah CM visits commandos injured in gun battle

Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Musa Aman today visited the two police commandos injured in a gun battle near here yesterday with armed intruders claiming to be from the so-called Sulu Sultanate
in the Philippines.
The commandos, Cpl Mohd Tarmizi Hashim, 32, and Cpl Azman Ampang, 39, are recovering at the Lahad Datu Hospital.
Musa arrived at the hospital at 11.15 am and spent about 30 minutes with the commandos.
Accompanying Musa on the visit were Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Yahya Hussin, Lahad Datu assemblyman Datuk Nasrun Datu Mansor, Silam member of parliament Salleh Kalbi and Kota Belud MP Datuk Abdul Rahman Dahlan.
The gun battle occurred yesterday after the intruders had been holed up in Kampung Tanduo, 130km from here, since Feb 9.
