Selangor Umno sets up four new departments

The Selangor Umno Liaison Committee today announced the setting up of four new departments in an effort to strengthen its machinery to recapture Selangor from Pakatan Rakyat.

Committee chairman Datuk Seri Noh Omar said he himself would head the General Election Department and his deputy Abdul Shukur Idrus, the Social Media Department.

He said the Training and Research Department would be led by Hulu Langat Umno division chief Datuk Johan Abdul Aziz and the Information Department by Kuala Selangor division chief Datuk Amiruddin Setro.

The meeting today also decided to appoint Johan as the new state Umno liaison secretary, replacing Datuk Seri Mohd Zin Mohamed, while Amiruddin was appointed as information chief, replacing Abdul Shukur.

Datuk Fateh Iskandar FD Mansor was retained as the state Umno treasurer, said Noh after chairing the meeting here.
