KUALA LUMPUR:The Seremban Prison and its quarters are the latest areas to be placed under the Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO) for 14 days from tomorrow (Nov 24) until Dec 7, said Senior Minister (Security) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.
He said the EMCO would be implemented throughout the prison area, including the prison block, administrative building as well as the staff quarters, involving 2,081 people.
“The Ministry of Health (MOH) has carried out 246 targeted screening tests and 25 positive cases were recorded from this prison.
“As such, the decision was made based upon the risk assessment and advice of the MOH,” he said at the daily media conference on Conditional MCO (CMCO) and Recovery MCO (RMCO) here today.
