Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department, Datuk Seri Azalina Othman called for all quarters to stop questioning the decision made by the Attorney-General (A-G) to clear prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak of criminal offence in regards to the RM2.6 billion transferred into his account and the SRC International Sdn Bhd.
The decision was made after looking into the report provided by the Malaysia Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC).
“The decision made by the Attorney-General which stated that no criminal offence had been made by Datuk Seri Najib Razak should be respected by all quarters.
“All quarters should stop talking about it especially on social media,” said Azalina in a statement distributed to members of the media in Parliament here today.

She stressed should any quarters disagree with the decision made by the AG in handling an allegation, they do not have a basis to challenge it in any quorum.
“Under Article 145 (3), the AG has the power to start, hold or stop any proceedings of any allegations from taking place, apart from the proceedings in the Syariah Court, Anak Negeri court or Military Court.
“The discretionary power given by the Attorney-General under Article 145 (3) is absolute. It can’t be challenged or replaced by any power including the courts,” she stressed.
On Tuesday, Tan Sri Mohamed Apandi Ali confirmed that no criminal offence had been made by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak in relation to the RM2.6 billion transferred into his account and the SRC International Sdn Bhd.
Following the decision, Najib hoped that all Malaysians would unite and move forward as the case has been closed.
