Task Force conducts 41,541 inspections to ensure CMCO compliance

The Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) Compliance Operations Task Force had conducted 41,541 inspections to monitor and enforce the standard operating procedure (SOP) of the Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) nationwide.

Senior Minister (Security Cluster) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said the effort was to ensure that all aspects of the SOP were complied with.

"This means that the focus this time is on compliance and every place will be examined whether it is a surprise check or otherwise. We will look closely at the aspects of SOP compliance that has been set," he said in a daily press conference here on Friday.

Ismail Sabri said that as of Thursday, 3,832 supermarkets, 2,700 restaurants and 1,471 factories and 752 banks had been inspected.

He said inspections were also carried out at 652 land transport terminals, 78 water transport terminals and 90 air transport terminals.

"The Compliance Operations Task Force also inspected 20,221 private vehicles and 1,261 public vehicles.

"Also inspected were 1,309 public markets, 2,196 places of worship, 980 recreational areas and 485 construction sites," he added.
