Temporary lane closures in Jln Bukit Bintang
Temporary road closures in Jalan Bukit Bintang here will be implemented in stages from tomorrow to facilitate utility work.
The two lanes, located in front of the Royale Bintang Hotel and Speedmart99, covering a five-metre stretch each, will be closed from 11pm to 5am till Saturday, said MRT Corp in a statement issued here Monday.
It said the utility work was an essential process in the construction of the Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) project.
Motorists heading towards the Royale Bintang Hotel are advised to take alternative access route via the junction at Bukit Bintang Park, it said and added that a flagman would be stationed at the junction before the underpass to direct the traffic flow.
Safety barriers, hoardings and traffic cones would also be installed at the worksite to ensure road users and pedestrians were well-informed of the ongoing work, it said.
In another statement, MRT Corp stated that there would be a temporary lane closure of the left-most lane on the slip road (KL-bound) near Kelab Golf Perkhidmatan Awam (KGPA) bus stop from tomorrow till May 31.
It said the closure was needed to fully complete the utilities relocation work at this 400-metre stretch, and safety barriers, traffic cones and traffic flagman would be placed at the work site to ensure road users were pre-warned of ongoing work.
MRT Corp apologised for any inconvenience caused to the public during the construction period.
