Three men were killed and one was seriously hurt when two vehicles collided at KM358 Jalan Kuala Lumpur-Kota Bharu (Jalan Raub-Bentong) near Taman Wawasan Raub, this evening.

The incident took place at 6pm between a lorry laden with bleach for a nearby shopping complex and a Toyota Hilux four wheel-drive vehicle with four friends on board.

Raub District Police chief, Supt Wan Mohd Zahari Wan Busu said the driver of the Toyota Hilux Moo Chung Hong, 32, was killed in the accident.

"Two others who were killed were front and backseat passengers Mohamad Nor Firdaus Ahmad, 22, and Hew Choo Yin, 29, while another backseat passenger, Najid Hamdi Kamaluddin, 25, was seriously hurt.

The 39-year-old lorry driver was unhurt.

The three bodies were sent to the Raub District hospital for post-mortems and Najid was also sent to the same hospital for treatment.
