TVET grads in high demand in N.Sembilan industrial sector - Aminuddin

He said the marketability of TVET graduates is an asset to the country, as they are contributors of skilled manpower to the industry, including the manufacturing sector.

"Local workers are most welcome in the industrial sector. We hope that TVET graduates will take up the challenge to work in the sector, and I believe they will be accepted by the industry authorities," he told reporters after the 6th Ampangan Vocational College Convocation ceremony, held at the Casa Lagenda Convention Centre, here today,

He said the industrial sector's performance in the state has been very good, and this indirectly contributed to the state's attractiveness to investors.

Earlier, Aminuddin presented diploma scrolls to 131 students of the Ampangan Vocational College at the convocation ceremony.

21-year-old identical twins, Muhammad Aidil and Muhammad Fitri Mohamad Fazli, were among the outstanding achievers who received the Diploma in Electrical Technology, by obtaining a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.73 and 3.72 respectively.

Muhammad Aidil said both of them chose to continue their studies at the Ampangan Vocational College, after their Form Three, because of their deep interest in the technical field.

"I did not expect the two of us to be accepted into the Ampangan Vocational College and doing the same course. This allowed us to study together and help each other, giving moral and emotional support," he said.

He also said that among the things that helped them achieve success was using YouTube as an extra learning medium and doing their technical assignments together.

Meanwhile, Muhammad Fitri added it was not all about studying as they were also active in sports, namely playing sepak takraw.
