Two DAP Parliamentary members, Lim Lip Eng (Segambut) and Gobind Singh Deo (Puchong) were ejected from Parliament on Monday.

The marching orders were given after the two MPs refused to comply with the rules of parliamentary proceedings as stated by Dewan Rakyat Speaker Tan Sri Pandikar Amin Mulia.

Lip Eng was shown the exit after he stood up and interrupted a motion relating to the appointment of new Parliamentary Select Committee members brought about by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak.

While the motion was being tabled, Lip Eng stood up and questioned why his emergency motion on toll hikes had been rejected by the Dewan Rakyat Speaker.

Gobind meanwhile had come to Lip Eng’s defence and in the process gave the impression the Dewan Rakyat Speaker had been dishonest in his decision.

He was then given the boot by Pandikar Amin after he had tried to defend his remarks and for refusing to retract his statement.

The third meeting of the third session of the 13th Parliament began today.
