Un Art Autre: Another Kind of Art

Italian Fashion house FENDI celebrated the reopening of its prestigious Hong Kong new concept store at Landmark by hosting an exclusive preview of the FENDI Un Art Autre Exhibition followed by a glamorous VIP cocktail and enchanting Gala Dinner on Thursday, October 23rd, 2014, starting at the Landmark Artium in Central.

To celebrate the special occasion, Asia's renowned actresses, Ms. Zhang ZiYi and Ms. Carina Lau, graced the exhibition. They were joined by Korea’s famous singer CL and Korean actor Mr. Jang Dong Kun, together with fashion icons Mr. Wyman Wong, Taiwanese actor Mr. Ethan Ruan, director Johnnie To from Hong Kong, famous model Ms. Rosemary Vandenbroucke, together with socialite including Ms. Olivia Lee-Davies, Ms. Anina Ho, Ms. Alison Chan, Ms. Jolie Chan, Ms. Yvette Tang, Mr. Kim Robinson, Ms. Helen Ma and Mr. and Mrs. Benedict and Jaime Ho Ku. In honor of such a momentous and star-studded event, Mr. Pietro Beccari, the Chairman and CEO of FENDI, and Ms. Silvia Venturini Fendi, were both in Hong Kong especially to officiate the opening.

FENDI showcase some of the most interesting and representative pieces of furs at the UN ART AUTRE Exhibition.

The selected furs are presented with archives and, according to the company, they are representative of the coexistence between tradition and innovation at the brand, with each garment illustrating the continuity and evolution of precise workmanship methods to keep up with the changing times.

The exhibition has been designed as a FENDI Pop Up Museum whose circular golden structure evokes the concept of boundlessness, and therefore the idea of a continuous cycle of development and renewal notions that have always been at the heart of FENDI’s philosophy and history and remain to be so today. Inside this unique building, the exhibition, thought to be both didactical and emotional, progressively develops the key concepts which FENDI embodies so distinctively: tradition, research and exclusivity.
