Vantage Point: Barefoot College

Vantage Point this week joins Kamarul Bahrin Haron speaking to Sanjit ‘Bunker’ Roy, founder of Barefoot College in India.

Barefoot College provides basic services and solutions in rural communities with the objective of making them self-sufficient. Sanjit believes strongly in empowering women as agents of sustainable change.

One of the organisation’s most successful mission is training grandmothers to be solar engineers so they can bring electricity to their remote villages.
