Vietnamese woman fined for offering sex service
Phan was charged with offering the sex service to a police lance corporal in front of a stair case on the first floor of ACE MALL, Jalan Pasar Baharu, Dang Wangi here at 3.15 pm last June 21.
A Vietnamese woman was fined RM2,000, in default two months' jail, by the Magistrate's Court here today for offering sex service to a policeman.
Magistrate Mahyudin Mohmad Som meted out the fine on Phan Kim Ha, 36, who pleaded guilty to the charge.
She paid the fine.
Phan was charged with offering the sex service to a police lance corporal in front of a stair case on the first floor of ACE MALL, Jalan Pasar Baharu, Dang Wangi here at 3.15 pm last June 21.
The charge, under Section 372(B) of the Penal Code, provides an imprisonment for up to a year, or fine, or both, upon conviction.
In mitigation, Phan, represented by lawyer S.Narasimhan, said it was her first offence and that she regretted her action.
Deputy public prosecutor Nur Farah Adilah Noordin prosecuted.
