KUALA LUMPUR: As many as 472 areas in five regions in Selangor are experiencing unscheduled water supply disruptions, starting at 7 this morning, following the temporary shutdown of the Sungai Semenyih water treatment plant (LRA) and Bukit Tampoi LRA.
Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Air Selangor), in a post on its official Facebook page today, said that the areas involved are 172 areas in Petaling, 54 areas in Hulu Langat, 196 in Sepang, 23 in Putrajaya and 27 in Kuala Langat.
It said that the move to shut down both LRAs was due to odour pollution detected at the Jenderam Hilir raw water pump station.
"Air Selangor will provide updates from time to time through all mediums, especially the mass media," read the statement.
Consumers can refer to all Air Selangor official communication channels, such as the Air Selangor application, Facebook, Instagram or Twitter, or contact the Air Selangor Contact Centre at 15300 for more information.
