Ahmad Maslan is new sec-gen, Shahril Hamdan information chief of UMNO
The appointments of Ahmad Maslan and Shahril were agreed to by all the Supreme Council members and UMNO President, Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.
The UMNO supreme council today appointed Pontian MP, Datuk Seri Ahmad Maslan, as the party's new secretary-general replacing Tan Sri Annuar Musa.
UMNO Youth Vice-Chief, Shahril Sufian Hamdan, will assume the position of Information Chief replacing Datuk Dr Shamsul Anuar Nasarah.
Annuar, who is also the Federal Territories Minister, said the appointments were agreed to by all the Supreme Council members and UMNO President, Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.
"Congratulations to the two of them and we wish them all the best in their new tasks," he added.
