Amanah foresees defeat in Sarawak election

MAT SABU: Campaigning in Sarawak will be difficult because we don't have means to access deep rural areas.
Parti Amanah Negara (Amanah) is already looking at defeat even before the announcement of the Sarawak state election which is due by June.
Amanah president Mohamad Sabu said the party would find campaigning difficult because of the need to access rural areas deep in the interior with limited transportation.
"Boat trips to the interior can take time, for example six to seven hours. In a day, we may be able to reach only a few areas. How can we compare with them (Barisan Nasional) who use helicopters?" he said.
Mat Sabu spoke to reporters after opening the Terengganu Amanah and Pakatan Harapan operations office at the commercial centre in Paya Keladi here Thursday.
