Parti Amanah Negara (Amanah) has yet to decide on the proposed snap election in Penang.
Its President Mohamad Sabu said the matter was deliberated among party leaders this morning and the party will hold a meeting again tomorrow at the party's headquarters in Selayang to discuss the matter.
Asked why they have not decided on the snap election, he said, there were many agendas and issues that need to be reviewed.
"We had to postpone our discussion because we have a lot of matters to consider or take into account. We decided to continue the meeting tomorrow and inform what we have agreed upon," he told reporters at Amanah's Hari Raya open house in Sungai Besar, here, today.
Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng had on Wednesday said the DAP-led Penang government will give time to DAP's partners in the Pakatan Harapan pact for consultation on the proposed state snap election.
The proposal to hold an election was among the two options available, the other to wait for the next general election, in response to the two corruption charges faced by Lim.
Meanwhile, Selangor UMNO Liaison chief Tan Sri Noh Omar said it looks like the DAP were willing to retain Lim as the Penang Chief Minister because the party lacked leaders.
Noh was speaking to reporters after attending a Hari Raya Aidilfitri open house hosted by the Selangor chapter of the Malaysian Council of Former Elected Representatives (Mubarak), at the Section 7 Complex Belia, here today.
