PKR president Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail has been officially appointed as the Opposition leader at the Dewan Rakyat, today.

She was sworn-in as the Opposition leader and Permatang Pauh member of Parliament before Dewan Rakyat speaker, Tan Sri Pandikar Amin Mulia.

Meanwhile, Datuk Hasan Ariffin was also sworn-in as the Rompin MP today.



Dr Wan Azizah had served as the Opposition leader in 1998.

The Kajang state assemblywoman had recently won the Permatang Pauh by-election with a 8,841 majority.
