Opposition will never recognise government's efforts

The opposition will never recognise and appreciate anything that has been done by the government including the 2016 Budget, said Deputy Defence Minister Datuk Mohd Johari Baharum.

Describing the budget as a good one, Johari said it also clearly showed that Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak knew exactly who was the target group that should be given priority.

"Like in the past, the opposition had never agreed to all the budgets tabled by the government. I know they are very 'disappointed' to see such a good budget tabled yesterday," he said.

He said this after visiting the family of 9th Infantry Brigade army personnel Corporal Victoria Rantai, who was killed in an accident at Km 121 Jalan Sibu-Bintulu on Oct 14.

Johari was commenting on a news portal report quoting Petaling Jaya Utara member of Parliament Tony Pua as saying Najib had failed to provide a credible plan against all 1MDB contingencies.
