Selangor Royal Council to decide on Selangor MB's fate tomorrow

Embattled Selangor Menteri Besar Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim said the Selangor Royal Council (Majlis Dewan DiRaja Selangor) will be holding a meeting on Monday, to decide on his political career. “I will also continue to perform as the menteri besar and I’m advised not to make any statements until the Selangor Royal Council meeting which is set on Monday, August 11, 2014,” he said in a press statement. He also said that he accepted Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR)'s decision, even though the act is wrong and not in accordance with law and contrary to the constitution. Abdul Khalid was sacked from PKR as a lifetime member on Saturday. PKR disciplinary committee chairman Datuk Dr Tan Kee Kwong said the decision was made after the party’s central leadership meeting held an inquiry to review the disciplinary cases against Abdul Khalid.
