UMNO wings should be progressive to reach out to voters - Tajuddin

UMNO Youth, Wanita and Puteri UMNO have been urged to be more progressive in their bid to reach out to the voters at all times.

UMNO Supreme Council member Datuk Seri Tajuddin Abdul Rahman said the three wings of UMNO should always be in the hearts of the voters and this could be achieved by organising more programmes that would have positive impact to the voters.

"For UMNO Youth, for example, don't just keep organising or sponsoring jersey for futsal or football tournament, try to organise something else.

"The same goes with Wanita, if there's a programme outside the division, go and mingle around, don't just stick to the same group of people," he said when opening the Kuala Krai UMNO Youth, Wanita and Puteri UMNO division meetings here, Friday.

Tajuddin, who is also Deputy Agriculture and Agro-based Industry Minister, said the three movement should also stay ahead in understanding current issues to enable them to counter all allegations made by their opponents so that the people would not fall for all the lies.
