FOLLOWING her sensational victory at ONE Warrior Series 4 last February 28, Malaysian rising star Edilah Johany is excitedly anticipating a career-changing call from the big bosses of ONE Championship.
The Ewako MMA representative, who is coming off a 15-second technical knockout win over Roshnee Khaira, revealed that being part of the organization’s main roster is one of his ultimate goals as a mixed martial arts competitor.
“I hope my performance will bring me closer to my dream of competing in ONE Championship. I’ve worked tirelessly throughout this period, and it would mean the world to me,” the 25-year-old Malaysian dynamo stated.
“I will continue fighting until I accomplish my ambition. I want to test myself against the best, and ONE is the perfect setting.”

Ediah left a lasting impression in her maiden assignment on the ONE Warrior Series stage as she mounted an overwhelming offense from the get-go, landing a big right hand before following up with a similar strike.
She hammered six more hooks before veteran referee Olivier Coste put a stop to the contest and awarded the impressive win to her.
“My plan was to finish this fight inside round one or round two, and I must admit I was pretty shocked with the 15-second knockout," she said.
“My coach Hisyam Samsudin told me to keep pressure, be confident, and believe in myself before the match. And as soon as I stepped in the ring, I was only thinking about getting that finish.”
Edilah praised her opponent, who came in as a last minute replacement for Singapore’s Tan Shi Yin.
“My opponent took this fight on very short notice, and I know she’s very good in Brazilian jiu-jitsu. After the win, I immediately thanked her for the good fight,” she shared.
“It’s not easy replacing someone at the last minute, and it takes two to complete a match.”
Edilah dedicated her second career victory to her family and teammates back in “The Land Below The Wind.”
“I dedicated this match to my family, especially to my mother. I think of my parents all the time and I believe I’ve just made them proud,” she declared.
“I’d like to thank everyone who’s supported me during my training camp too, especially my coach and my training partners.”
