Khairul Idham third fastest in Moto3 practice session
Khairul was 1.180 seconds behind Italy's Francesco Bagnaia of the Pull & Bear Aspar Mahindra Team who clocked the fastest time of 2:26.490s. - AP photo
National Moto3 racer, Khairul Idham Pawi put up an exhilarating performance in the second free practice session to secure the third fastest time of 2 minutes 27.670 seconds today.
He was 1.180 seconds behind Italy's Francesco Bagnaia of the Pull & Bear Aspar Mahindra Team who clocked the fastest time of 2:26.490s.
Spanish racer Jorge Navarro of Estrella Galicia 0,0 Team was second fastest in 2'26.914s.
"I was comfortable with the new track...the grip was moderate as it allows for easier maneuvering.
"I am satisfied with my consistency and being in the top three," the Honda Team Asia racer told reporters after the practice session at the Sepang International Circuit here.
Meanwhile, another two Malaysian riders, Adam Norrodin of Drive M7 SIC Racing Team and Hafiq Azmi representing Peugeot MC Saxoprint were placed 13th and 26th respectively after clocking 2:28.861s and 2:30.352s.
The Malaysian Motorcycle Grand Prix which commenced today ends on Oct 30. - Bernama
