The Harimau Muda A side which is on a four-match playing tour to Australia suffered its first loss after going down 1-2 to Brisbane Olympic, an Australian Premier League club, at Goodwin Park, Brisbane, Australia today.

Ong Kim Swee's boys had earlier beaten Palm Beach Sharks 5-1 last Saturday and Brisbane Lions SC, 2-1 on Wednesday, both APL clubs.

The Malaysian side started on the wrong foot by conceding two goals in the first half, when Brisbane Olympics scored in the 19th and 36th minutes before Ferris Danial Mat Nasir reduced the deficit in the 88th minute.

The four-match tour is part of the National Under-23 team's preparations to defend the gold medal at the 2013 Myanmar SEA Games hosted by Myanmar in December.

Malaysia's last match would be against another APL team, Brisbane Roar, on Feb 5.

After the Australian tour, the Harimau Muda A squad is expected to be in Slovakia from March 15 to August, as part of their five-month training and playing stint.

Upon their return from Slovakia, the team is expected to participate in the Merdeka Cup and Newspaper Cup in Vietnam.
