K'tan football exhibition at state museum in Jan

The Kelantan football team's past and present success, pictures of its legendary players and the Malaya Cup will be on display at the Kelantan state museum until Jan 31.

The exhibition themed "Gomo Kelantan Gomo" and organised by the state museum corporation and the Kelantan Football Association (KAFA) will be open for public from 9am to 10pm.

Among the legends of Kelantan is Dali Omar, a renowned striker who represented the state and country in the 1960-70s, and who had coached a club in Australia.

State museum corporation chairman Datuk Takiyuddin Hassan said the exhibition was part of efforts to promote the success of the state team in the past.

Kelantan won the Super League, FA Cup and Malaysia Cup to complete a superb treble last season.

The Malaya Cup that was introduced in 1920 before being replaced by the Malaysia Cup in 1963, will also be among items displayed.
