The Secretary-General of ASEAN Kao Kim Hourn today participated in the 4th ADGMIN+ and U.S. meeting in Bangkok, where both sides reaffirmed their commitment to advancing digital collaboration.

The meeting underscored the recent adoption of the ASEAN-U.S. Leaders’ Statement on Promoting Safe, Secure, and Trustworthy Artificial Intelligence, which was endorsed at the 12th ASEAN-United States Summit in Vientiane, Laos, on October 11, 2024. This statement highlights a shared vision to harness the transformative potential of Artificial Intelligence (AI) while addressing the associated risks, ensuring a balanced and secure approach to its development.

Further emphasing this partnership, the meeting also welcomed the ASEAN-U.S. 2025 Digital Work Plan Priorities, a key step in deepening the digital ties between the two economies.

ADGMIN + the U.S. is a series of meetings between the ASEAN Digital Ministers' Meeting (ADGMIN) and the United States.
