The operator of Pizza Hut Malaysia, QSR Brands (M) Holdings Sdn Bhd, is optimistic its Pizza Hut Delivery business will record a 10 per cent increase in sales to RM500 million this year.
QSR Brands Managing Director Datuk Ahmad Zaki Zahid said the Pizza Hut Delivery chain chalked up sales of RM450 million last year and enjoyed a market share of 65 per cent.
Ahmad Zaki said from now on, Pizza Hut restaurants and Pizza Hut Delivery would be merged as one brand to avoid confusion among customers.
"We are improving our services for our customers. Previously, we received some complaints about the confusion, especially regarding the menu," he said at the official launch of the Pizza Hut's Convergence here today.
Ahmad Zaki said the company had standardised the menu for both its pizza delivery and restaurant businesses and would soon introduce more new toppings.
The company will be launching new topping flavours especially for the fasting month of Ramadan and expected it to sell like hot cakes, he added.
On expansion plans, QSR Brands will open another 45 new restaurants this year.
