Coming soon! Tun Mahathir's silver screen debut

Malaysians are so used to seeing Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad on the stage, speaking about a multitude of issues.

But soon, we will get to see another side of the former premier who seems to have a knack for acting!

Dr Mahathir will be making a special appearance in the film "Kapsul" which is slated to be showcased in cinemas nationwide this coming Sept 17.

Produced by Two Tones Sdn Bhd, the film will see the 90-year-old veteran politician in five scenes including one with the film's lead actor, Faizal Hussein.

On social media, netizens feel Dr Mahathir's involvement in the film was a breath of fresh air in the art practitioners' effort to take local creations to new heights.

Besides Faizal Hussein, the film directed by Martias Mohd Ali also features Jue Aziz.

The patriotic movie tells the story of the Vision 2020 time capsule that was buried by Dr Mahathir during his reign as Prime Minister.
