Indonesia's COVID-19 cases rise to 38,277, death toll at 2,134
East Java recorded the highest death toll with 600 cases, followed by Jakarta (555), West Java (161), South Kalimantan (125) and the remaining cases in other provinces in Indonesia.
The number of COVID-19 positive cases in Indonesia has surpassed 38,000 while 2,134 fatalities were reported.
According to Indonesian government spokesman on COVID-19, Achmad Yurianto, between 12 noon yesterday and 12 noon today, 857 new positive cases were reported with 43 more fatalities.
“There are now 38,277 positive cases while 13,574 patients are still being monitored,” he said in the daily media conference aired via Indonesia's National Board for Disaster Management (BNPB) official YouTube site.
