Indonesia's COVID-19 cases rise to 41,431, death toll at 2,276
East Java has so far recorded the highest number of deaths at 651 cases, followed by Jakarta (563 cases), West Jawa (169), Southern Kalimantan (141), while the rest were in other provinces
Indonesia's COVID-19 case tally has continued to rise and crossed the 41,000-mark today, with the death toll at 2,276 thus far.
Achmad Yurianto, spokesman for the Indonesian authorities on COVID-19, said 1,031 cases were recorded overnight, while another 45 deaths were reported.
"The case tally now stands at 41,431 while 13,279 patients are under COVID-19 surveillance,” he said at his COVID-19 daily briefing here today.
