After decades of patronage to countless national groups, Britain's 90-year-old Queen Elizabeth is lightening her workload... slightly.
Buckingham palace on Tuesday confirming that the Queen will be stepping down as patron of 25 organizations, including Save the Children UK, the Royal Geographic Society and the Rugby Football Union, passing the responsibility on to other members of the Royal Family.
It's the same path her husband Philip took, resigning from a number of posts in his 90th year in 2011.
But don't get the wrong idea, the Queen is still going to be a very busy lady.
She remains a patron for hundreds of charities and institutions, and will continue with her regular duties, like hosting foreign dignitaries, presiding over the annual opening of parliament, and holding a weekly one-on-one with the Prime Minister.
Palace aids and experts also say there's absolutely no sign that the world's longest-reigning living monarch is getting ready to give up her job.
