Almost 200 stalls destroyed as Uptown Shah Alam razed to ground

Nearly 190 stalls in Shah Alam Uptown night market in Section 24 razed to the ground in a predawn fire at 2.57am, early Wednesday.
Selangor Fire and Rescue department assistant director, Mohd Sani Harul told news portal Kosmo online that his department received a call at around 2.57am.
The Fire and Rescue Department dispatched over 30 firemen from three fire department stations to control the fire.

Uptown Shah Alam houses over 425 stalls offering a multitude of goods including clothing, accessories, food, household items as well as pets.
No injuries or fatalities were reported. The losses suffered, the cause of the fire were still being investigated.
